Finally, I Got My German Opportunity Card Visa from the Consulate in Guangzhou

Experience

It has now been a month since I landed at Frankfurt Airport on September 19, and I am finally settled in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

My landlord is a nice person who offered me a single room in the basement. Life in Germany is quite different from life in China. I came from a hot region of China, but the weather here reminds me of the UK. It feels colder than I expected!

Throughout September, I took care of a few important things, including getting a mobile number with an eSIM and opening a bank account. Meanwhile, I also got my address registration certificate from the local authorities.

I have also been exploring different supermarket chains near my home, such as ALDI, Netto, TEDi, REWE, PENNY, Lidl, and Kaufland. Why did I need to visit all these supermarkets? Because I wanted to find out what kinds of products I could buy at each one, and I also needed to get to know my local area.

Starting in my second month here, I will focus on preparing my English CV and looking for an IT job in Germany.

I hope luck will be on my side. Keep going, Roy!
